My name is Abbie and I’m a farmer’s daughter. I was raised on my family’s 365-year-old farm in Connecticut, which has shaped my lifestyle, parenting, philosophy of education and environmental activism. My husband Ed, our toddler son Joshua, and I strive to live simply and sustainably by raising and growing much of our own food, cooking from scratch and reducing our energy consumption. In addition to advocating for local agriculture and natural parenting, I am a high school science teacher, specializing in environmental science, botany, biology and physics.
