Our little boy Joshua loves tractors, so it was easy to choose the theme for his 3rd birthday party!
I used his model tractors and implements for decoration, filling them with rice krispie treat hay bales.
Since it was St. Patrick’s Day weekend, it was easy to find John Deere green flowers.
We had some healthy snacks…
And personalized tractor cookies, courtesy of Mimi.
I decorated the homemade ice cream cake with a tractor pull. The model tractor is pulling rice krispie treat blocks through the Oreo dirt. The wheelie made it authentic.
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Joshua!
Happy Birthday to you!
I wonder what he wished for…
To make the ice cream cake: line a roasting pan with plastic wrap. Soften vanilla ice cream then spread it into the pan. Freeze for a few hours. Then layer crushed Oreos and hot fudge, and again freeze for a few hours. Next spread in some softened chocolate ice cream and freeze solid. I froze it overnight. When you’re ready to decorate the cake, flip it out onto a board or platter and remove the plastic wrap. Use cool whip to frost the cake, decorate it and then put it back in the freezer.
Mimi made the tractor cookies and personalized them with the kids’ names and even made them the right color for their tractors!
Opening presents with Mimi, while Uncle Nate looks on.
Cousin Luke, with our friend Matteo in the background.
Little brother David slept through most of the party but woke up toward the end.

What a fun theme for a birthday party! I almost wish I had boys. I am so over the princess themed parties lol.

I’m a country gal, my dad was a tractor sales man, I love your pictures! My dad actually sold blue tractors (Ford) but he handled used equipment too. Blessings to you and your sweet boys. Looks like a fun birthday!

Oh my goodness. My 3 year old would go insane for that party. He loves all things tractors and can’t wait to get back to his grandpa’s farm where there is a full size tractor that he gets to ride on. For now he will have to settle for his little bike one and toy versions. Great party theme!!!
