Here are some of the resources that I plan to use for my Real Food Resolution. I have spent years learning to grow, raise, cook and preserve my own food. I have the skills to make my own yogurt, ricotta cheese, pasta and bread, and I have formed a community of farmers and artisans who provide me with locally grown real food. But I’ll still need some help, and that’s where these fantastic resources come in. Please feel free to add your favorites in a comment.

I often go to 101cookbooks.com when cooking, as Heidi Swanson uses natural ingredients and has done a great deal of work creating tasty recipes with whole foods and natural sweeteners, etc. I also go there when I am out of ideas with an unfamiliar ingredient, as she uses a wider variety of fruits and vegetables than I personally use. She’s also vegetarian and offers suggestions to make recipes vegan or even sometimes gluten free.
That and although the “search by ingredient” links are not as well organized as they could be, the website is overall quite easy to use.
