The peaches are ripening! Here’s a roundup of my favorite peach recipes…

Peach Raspberry Crumb Pie (one of my favorites!)
I love to see peach recipes in my blue and white dishes, it’s such a pretty contrast! Peaches are Ed’s favorite fruit, and this year I’m planning to learn to make peach ice cream. What’s your favorite peach recipe?

DH makes a delish peach cobbler ice cream, it was terrific, couldn’t stop eating it until it was gone, it was so sinfully good!
I have coveted your dishes from the first day I started reading your blog. We’re FINALLY in the market for some new dishware at our house and I wanting something blue and white and antique-ish, just like these! Would you be willing to tell me the maker and pattern for your dishes? Thank you! The peach recipes look so delish too!

Hi Dana, The dishes are made by Churchill, the same company that makes blue willow, but that’s not what they are. I can’t remember the name of the pattern, but it has been discontinued, much to my dismay because I only have service for 8 :( Still, I think I could mix and match with blue willow because the colors are the same.
What kind of design is in the center? Is it a house or more flowers? I have seen some on ebay (I have been looking at Churchill already, LOVE their china!) that are really similar. You might be able to add to your set from there.
Sour Cream and Peach Pie
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell and pastry strips
7 or 8 peaches, peeled and sliced
1/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar
Slice the peaches into a large bowl. In a medium size bowl, blend together the flour, sugar, and salt. Stir in sour cream. Pour mixture over peaches; coat well. Pour into pie shell. Arrange strips over peaches. Sprinkle mixture of 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar over the top. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce to 350 degrees and bake 40 minutes
Oh my goodness those all look so good! We aren’t quite to peach season yet…but we’ve got lots of plums!!!
Just a reminder that we are getting near the end of the kinderGARDENS series and I’m urging everyone to link up as often as possible with their best posts. Soon the judges will be looking them over!
Have a happy Thursday! Kim
