Sunny Sunday Stroll

It was almost 70 and sunny today, so I threw the windows open and headed outside for my stroll.

The pink roses are the only remnants of summer.  Everywhere else, winter is clearly on its way.

An old barbed wire fence post stands out in the woods.

This birdhouse was knocked down in the wind.  Fortunately, I found it undamaged and put it back up.

A little pile of wood from a dead tree that Ed cut down waits at the edge of the lawn.

  1. Wow, the first photo is deceiving. Looks like early summer… such clean fresh color! I love the more autumnal photos too, particularly the beautiful red gourd. Thanks for sharing your beautiful weather!

  2. Didn’t you just LOVE today? What an incredible day for the middle of November!

LOVE your roses (were they the only thing that didn’t get “frosted” yet?) and the cross-section of the wood pile!

  3. Love the wood pile. I love to see them building through the year and then watch to see how fast they disapear as winter has it way with us. We don’t have wood heat, but I know where the stacked wood piles are in the neighborhood.

  4. We have so many roses out. Crazy! Beautiful pictures!
