Walking around the edge of the forest today, I couldn’t help but notice the two sure signs of spring: the color green making its triumphant return, while the rain drizzled all around.
Raindrops collect on the needles of a white pine.
Droplets on a newly emerged tulip’s greenery.
Daffodils slowly reach toward the sun.
Drips on a recently sprouted, unidentified plants on the forest floor.

Ooh, I love the bottom unidentified wild plant. You know, I bet you could snap off a leaf, place it in a paper towel, and mail it to the folks up at UCONN with a SASE. Then you could find out what it is and add to your garden. Of course, you can always admire its beauty in Mother Nature too, :-)

Mom- Me, too! Ed, Chris and I were walking around outside and when I saw the trees, I had to run in to get my camera.
Aisling- I agree. Admiring the droplets made my rainy day more cheerful.
Green Mamma- I’m hoping the plant is dame’s rocket, a really pretty purple and white wildflower that appears on the edge of our property each June. They’re so gorgeous (google a picture if you haven’t seen them before). I’m going to keep an eye on them and try to collect seeds this year to add to my wildflower garden, which will be very close by.
Flowers and plants are at their very loveliest, to me, with droplets of water hanging from them.
